Yearly Guests At The Jade Art Now Show Georg & Kirk

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed meeting all of the jade artists at the Jade Show. It was a wonderful event.
A truly awesome show that encompassed every aspect of Jade. There were jade miners, discoverers, carvers, collectors, geologists, photographers, authenticators, lovers, and appraisers all present in one room. One big jade loving family where nothing about jade was unknown. The jade itself was more spectacular than in any collection anywhere. On display, by Antiquities Plus, were jade carvings dating back 1000’s of years before Christ. There were jade vessels used by Shaman Kings and jade worn by ancient Mayans. The jade carvers were the best in the world. Donn Salts creations from New Zealand were phenomenal. Deborah Wilson from B.C. is undoubtedly the best women jade carver in the world. George Schmerholz is such an amazing artist his jade carvings were breathtaking and mind boggeling. A truly amazing talent. I learned a lot and had a great time. Don’t miss this in 2010 because it is a must see show. A special thanks to Craig and Kathy who kept the delicious food on the table all night long. Without David Fredericks this event would not be possible. Thank you again David.

I would like to thank David and Melissa for once again showcasing Jade Art Now 2009 in their wonderful gallery, Antiquities, Plus …..I think the momentum is building as a result of these successes, the awareness of jade art, ancient and contemporary, is growing. It is also an amazing opportunity for our group of jade artists to learn more about these antiquities that were beauifully displayed during our show. I have come home inspired by what I saw, both ancient and contemporary, from the old masters and my peers!
